Photographer Joe Ladendorf Show

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD OF DIGITAL FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY

The Courtyard Gallery invites you to meet fine art photographer Joe Ladendorf

Saturday August 19th and Sunday August 20th, 12:00-5:00 both days

“Hiking #2”

Joe became interested in photography at the age of 18 when his father gave him a real camera for Christmas.  Always having been an outdoor person, he instantly fell in love with the camera and started to capture the highlights of his ever expanding travels. In the beginning failures were more common than successes. Those failures helped him hone his skills. Today, Joe has developed into a successful digital fine art photographer.

Dave Wheeler photography show

Second in our Summertime Show Series
As we start our 28th year, The Courtyard Gallery invites you to come meet photographer Dave Wheeler. He will be here Saturday July 22nd and Sunday July 23rd, 12:00-5:00 both days.
Dave’s interest in photography began when he was a young boy. His father took his family on several trips to Mexico, a few to the backwoods of Canada and, yes once to Cuba. He never left home without his cameras. He turned those photos into slides, and “we spent many hours in front of the old projector enthralled with his images.” For me, a great beginning. My first formal photography instruction was in basic black and white in 1974. Somewhere in the 90’s I went kicking and screaming from film into the world of digital. Oceans and mountains, I am drawn to both. I’ve spent considerable time in the Rockies and on the Atlantic coast of Florida. In addition I have now found an exciting new way to show my work.

The new wave in photography is aluminum. The advantages of fine art digital printing on aluminum are the colors are extraordinarily vibrant, images are amazingly clear and the depth of the finish gives photos a luminous quality that no paper print can achieve. The look is mind-blowing. These beautiful photos can be shown indoors as well as outdoors. They are UV protected, scratch resistant and waterproof. This incredible artwork will last for generations.

“September symphony”

As an additional treat, jewelry designer Jamie McClellen will be present.  Jamie’s passion for repurposing antique pieces that have had a former life and incorporating them into her own designs.

She believes that this enriches the story of the pieces itself.  Crystals, semiprecious stones, freshwater pearls and assorted findings are added and combined in new ways to create pieces that are eye-catching.
